St. Matthew Passion 2026
Sing Bach with us!
For our next major project – the performance of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion on March 28 and 29, 2026 in Berlin, we are looking for tenors and basseswho'd like to join us for this exiting project (and possibly beyond).
We will begin rehearsals on November 25, 2025, and we would be delighted if you could join as early as possible.
From January onwards, you should be able to attend our regular Tuesday evening rehearsals from 7:15–9:15 p.m. in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
All rehearsal times and venues will be confirmed at the start of the project.
It matters to us that we connect not only musically but also on a personal level. After two introductory rehearsals, we will discuss together on singing together. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us: mitsingen@aurum-vocale.de

KEY DATES
There are a few key dates you should definitely be available for: 19h15-21h15 in Berlin Kreuzberg

- Sunday, March 29, 2026 Concert
MUSIC
If you don’t have the sheet music yet, you can borrow a copy for now (at the library or from friends) or just share with someone during the first rehearsals.
We’re using the Carus edition, but you can also use the Bärenreiter edition.
Although our rehearsals are conducted in German, we warmly welcome international singers to join us. This project offers a wonderful opportunity to bring together voices from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared passion for Bach and one of the greatest works ever written.

We’re always excited to welcome new singers!
Ideally, you’ll have some choral experience, feel comfortable sight-reading, and enjoy singing classical repertoire.
What matters most to us is that we fit together both musically and personally. That’s why we invite interested singers to join a few rehearsals so we can get to know each other. The decision to join the choir is then made together as a group.
We rehearse every Tuesday evening in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Before concerts, there may be a few extra rehearsals for final preparations.
